Many musicians experience a defining moment that inspires them to pick up an instrument. For Bad Seed Rising singer and guitarist Francheska Pastor, it happened after watching a television broadcast of Green Day’s American Idiot tour at 12-years-old. Francheska enrolled in Maryland’s Let There Be Rock School in 2011 where she first met Mason Gainer who traded in his Guitar Hero controller for the real thing after discovering a box in the basement hiding his old man’s Guns N’ Roses and Bad Brains CDs. Rounded out by Louey Peraza on bass and drummer Aiden Marceron, the quartet started to tirelessly rehearse outside of the program, honing their chops at an impressive pace. Soon, they were on stage in front of thousands at the M3 Rock Festival or grinding it out at local gigs. Barely freshmen in high school, their ages belied an intense musicianship and immediate knack for a hook. Roadrunner Records caught wind, and they became “the youngest band in history to sign to the label.” In between touring with the likes of Halestorm, Daughtry and 3 Doors Down, the group released their 2014 debut EP, Charm City. That strong introduction paved the way for 2015’s A Place Called Home EP. Produced by Drew Fulk [Motionless In White], the first single “It’s My Time” kick starts with a raucous riff before Francheska’s soaring and soulful voice takes the spotlight before a bombastic gang vocal. The EP closes out with “Disappear,” which highlights the group’s kinetic chemistry as they lock into a hammering and hypnotic groove. Lancaster, Pennsylvania is the sort of town of which there are many hundred all across America: post-industrial, blue collar and, on occasion, more than a little bleak. As is so often the case though, it is in these relative backwards towns that authentic, compelling creativity truly thrives - the monotony of the landscape punctuated by brilliant flares of art. FROM ASHES TO NEW are one such flare; a thoroughly modern rock band wielding both a state-of-the-art sound and an old-as-the-hills work ethic. Formed barely two years ago by vocalist, programmer and creative mastermind Matt Brandyberry, the sextet consists of the cream of Lancaster’s underground scene. With the assistance of producer Grant McFarland, FATN set about molding their rap/rock hybrid into a sky-scrapingly monolithic proposition. And if recent four-track EP Downfall was a glistening opening gambit, then the forthcoming full-length album will radiate with the fire of a thousand suns. A fearsome mix of contemporary metalcore crunch and soul-searching rap, the band are already punching with a heavyweight strength that belies their so far brief career.  It’s a potent approach galvanized further by the background from which the band all come from. Blessed with honesty, integrity, grit, determination and, most vitally, a genuinely devastating arsenal of gut-mangling tunes – FROM ASHES TO NEW have got all the ingredients to turn your world, and the entire scene, on its head. Behind everything Heartist do lies one simple goal: to bring real, honest emotion back into heavy music. Writing songs that are equal parts anthemic grandeur, brawny metalcore-infused heaviness, and chorus-driven radio rock nirvana, the quintet wear their influences on their collective sleeve while being far more than the sum of their parts.  Formed in 2011, the members of Heartist – vocalist Bryce Beckley, guitarist Tim Koch which were rounded out by guitarist Robby Devito, bassist Evan Ranallo and drummer Matt Marquez - walked away from college educations and secure employment to focus one hundred percent on music.  They subsequently spent many months honing their sound, determined to create something that stood out on its own merits, and in no rush to leap back into the scene that failed to excite them. At the same time, they displayed a certain savvy in creating an online buzz that intrigued and lured potential fans without even playing a single show, a tactic that paid off - and then some.  “We also got lucky, because our A & R at Roadrunner books bands at our hometown venue, which we didn’t realize, we just asked him to put us on! We really lucked out - we played that one show and got signed.” In 2012 the band dropped their Nothing You Didn’t Deserve EP, subsequently touring with the likes of Architects UK and Enter Shikari, plus a European run supporting label mates Killswitch Engage.  While Nothing You Didn’t Deserve was a solid release in its own right, it only hinted at what the band were capable of, and with debut full-length Feeding Fiction they lay it all on the line.  The band enlisted Producer David Bendeth (Of Mice & Men, Bring Me The Horizon) to record their full-length album with.  Be sure to pick up a copy of their amazing album titled Feeding Fiction featuring the hit singles Skeletons & Ignite!  For more information, visit www.heartistband.com

In the early hours of New Years Day 2013, a radio astronomer at the Allen Telescope Array in Northern California discovered a mysterious signal emanating from a star within the Ophiuchus Constellation. Contained within the signal was a Message--of human origin--foretelling the details of man's imminent demise. The Message was brought to The Starset Society, who quickly realized the importance of its immediate publication. Risking extreme danger, The Starset Society commissioned a group of musicians and scientists to assist them in spreading the knowledge to a broader audience. This group became known simply as STARSET. STARSET describes their music as cinematic rock. The band originate from Columbus, Ohio and was formed by lead singer Dustin Bates of Downplay. The band has released two singles including 'My Demons' and 'Carnivore. In the summer of 2014, the band released their debut album ‘Transmissions,’ which is now available. Nonpoint released their new studio album, The Return on September 30th 2014 via Razor & Tie.  The album was produced by Grammy nominated producer Johnny K (Disturbed, Staind, Megadeth) and Daniel Salcidoto. Nonpoint vocalist Elias Soriano explains, “Last record we stepped in a direction we've wanted to for years and our fans revered us for it.  This record we have gotten up to speed and dropped the pedal to the floor.  I think our fans will embrace this record in a way no other Nonpoint record has been viewed or loved.  We left no room for question of what we are trying to accomplish with our music or who we are. We haven't gone back to old school.  We didn't reflect on our past.  We didn't discuss what works. We are not "Statement" Nonpoint or even "Bullet" Nonpoint...... "The Return" is Nonpoint right now." Formed in 1997, Nonpoint has since released seven full-length albums and one live album selling over 800,000 albums in North America.  In late 2013, Nonpoint closed out a year of touring behind 2012’s self-titled record, which yielded the Active Rock radio hit “Left For You.” With over a decade of extensive road work under their belts, the band has toured with All That Remains, Mudvayne, Papa Roach, Sevendust, Disturbed, Flyleaf, Buckcherry, Drowning Pool, Stone Sour, and Hell Yeah and graced the stages of Ozzfest, Rock On The Range and Summerfest.  Now in 2014, their eighth full-length album The Return remains as raw, ripping, and real as these musicians—Elias Soriano [vocals], Robb Rivera [drums], Rasheed Thomas [guitar], Adam Woloszyn [bass], and B.C. Kochmit [guitar]. Pick up a copy of their amazing new album 'The Return' now featuring the hit single 'Breaking Skin.' For more information, visit nonpoint.com
