Australia and Rock n' Roll has gone hand in hand for decades by this point - AC/DC, Jet, and Wolfmother have all hailed from the land down under. And the continent has another hard rockin' contender on their hands, Ragdoll. Comprised of members Ryan Rafferty (lead vocals, bass), Leon Todd (guitar), and Cam Barrett (drums), the trio has a new album, 'Ragdoll Rewound' and an upcoming Rocklahoma performance. 'Ragdoll Rewound' is a compilation of Ragdoll's first two releases ('Ragdoll Rock' and 'Here Today') plus four live recordings, one of which is a new composition, "Rewind Your Mind." The trio revisited the first EP and had it remixed and polished the way they had always wanted to hear it. Songs like "Foot to the Floor" sound leaner and meaner while "The Feeling" is even more epic! Any issues the band may have had with the original 'Here Today' master have been fully rectified here too; while the new master of "Tell Me" in particular is a lot more dynamic and more true to the original mix. With an intense desire to inject new life into the music they love; Ragdoll's mission is to dismantle the sometimes tired genres of classic rock, hard rock and progressive rock and rebuild them, producing a modern hybrid that both transcends and revitalizes the traditional rock genres. The result is a sound that's bombastic and intricate, a sound that's full and brash, leaving many to question how this trio is capable of producing a live sound more akin to that of a five-piece. And it sounds like Ragdoll will be quite busy for the remainder of 2014. They're doing twenty shows, starting in California, then the Midwest and culminating in Vegas. Then they will return home to Australia to enter the studio to record the material they've prepared for their fourth all original studio release." For more information, visit www.ragdollrock.com

Some of the finest rock bands of all time have featured brothers as their leaders (AC/DC, Van Halen, etc.), and the Raskins are the next in line. Comprised of twins Roger and Logan Raskin, the union originally began as a mere writing project for producer Greg Ladany. But after several demos were cut and the brothers realized they were on to something, it became a permanent proposition, and the Raskins were born - which has resulted in the forthcoming release of their self-titled debut, which drops May 13, 2014. Specializing in a self-described "rock/retro/alternative/pop-rock/singer-songwriter" style, the Raskins cover an impressive amount of ground stylistically, as evidenced by such rocking standout tracks as the album's leadoff single, "We Had It All" (which will be serviced to radio starting February 18), "Need Another Hero," and "The Radio Song," while the duo show off their pop side on "Open Our Eyes," "Reach," and "Where Do We Go From Here." Once the album is released, the brothers' plan is a simple yet proven one, according to Roger. "Clearly the future plans for the Raskins is to tour as much as possible, and bring our music to every city in the US, as well as all the local radio stations, doing promotional giveaways, rock shows, and to touch as many fans as possible. We want to show the public that we our very accessible. Also eventually heading over to Europe to give our expanded fan base the opportunity to experience the Raskins live. The Europeans love them some rock n roll. Can't wait to share our music with all of them!" For more information, visit www.theraskins.com

Here's another bio about a band that's been there, done that, collectively toured the world, and individually snagged many awards along the way...blah-blah-blah.  Let's get serious, folks...you've heard it all before.  You know the players involved and nothing they can say will possibly prepare you for the impact that their labor of love will have on you this time.  The long distance connection that fused together the talents of Lo-Pro vocalist Pete Murray, newcomer Chris Shy, Snot bassist John Fahnestock, and drummer extraordinaire Will Hunt (who has played with everyone from Grammy winning superstars Evanescence to living legends like Zakk Wylde and Tommy Lee) is one that no P/R spin could ever capture.  The guys met for the first time in LA with mega-producer Ben Grosse (Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Fuel, Filter, and a myriad of others) at The Mix Room and famed East West studios for a few weeks to put their impression on their dream project.  The result?  "Until We Meet Again", a collection of unbridled energy from four guys who met for the first time while they recorded together.  After meeting every challenge thrown in front of them, they are now poised to be the shiniest of dark horses the music world has seen in quite some time.
