Eleven years is a long time for any band to stay together, let alone for one band to finally see the release of their debut album, but for Open Air Stereo, they wouldn’t have wanted it to happen any other way. The band’s story is one of evolution, that gradual development from a simple to a more complex form; that gradual development from their humble days as 13-year olds in Laguna Beach to self-assured rock band bursting forth and ready to share their music with the world. Darwin championed his scientific Theory of Evolution, from which we get such trite adages as “survival of the fittest,” something that applies as much to the animal world as it does to the music industry. For the two founding members of Open Air Stereo, lead-singer Chase Johnson and drummer Nick Gross, eleven years has been just what the band needed to grow as individuals, to develop as a band, and to perfect their songwriting craft alongside bassist Evan Smith and guitarist Scott Pounds, who were brought on board by Johnson and Gross in order to complete the classic 4-member rock-band lineup. It’s obvious from the first time you hear a song off Open Air Stereo’s 10-song debut album Primates that the band know exactly what they are doing! The album’s title was inspired by mankind’s own evolutionary cousins, giving the band a moment to reflect on their own personal evolution through time, perfecting their craft and going through the growing pains to emerge on the other side as a stronger, leaner, fitter band. To the five members of Shallow Side their name is not just two words representing them as a group but instead it’s the representation of humble beginnings infused with the knowledge life is unforgiving but there’s hope for a better tomorrow. Shallow Side as a band is fueled by raw powerful vocals, soul pounding drums, dark sexual energy and five magnetically infectious personalities. While their songs represent the sound that is the modern rock, the recipe of internal struggles mixed with relationship problems and life’s let downs in general are mixed with hope and the faith this is not all life is meant to be and from the ashes we all have a chance to rise. Fear Ends Tonight itself may sound as though its all relationship related whereas in truth it was singer Eric Boatright’s message to the band, “I wanted to give them something to let them know I am there for them, and we are all in this together to just throw everything out there and give it all we had. I want them to know this is a personal message of trust, my trust in them and the hope they trust in me.” The song was actually re-written by Boatright in a Knoxville hotel room as they worked on their first professional recording session with acclaimed producer Travis Wyrick. For Boatright musical inspiration is Brent Smith from Shinedown. “One night Nick (tour manager) and I were watching You Tube videos and came across Brent singing simple man and I was so taken in by the emotion. He sings with so much emotion and power, if that video was meant to get to any one person out there, it was me.” It was then he decided that is how he wanted to be portrayed and for the music of the band to reach out to a wide audience some of whom need a message about fighting for a better tomorrow, making better decisions and bettering themselves in general. The origin of Eye Empire began in 2007 when Corey Lowery (Stuck Mojo/Stereomud/Dark New Day) and B.C. Kochmit (Switched) started to construct what would eventually become the foundation of this empire. After two years of writing and searching for the right voice, Donald Carpenter (Submersed) joined the group in October of 2009 followed by former Texas Hippie Coalition member Ryan Bennett on drums. Produced by Corey Lowery and Eye Empire, early pressings of the album have already sold thousands of copies on-line exclusively through mail order. This is their "Moment of Impact” and it’s just the beginning. After a year plus of radio support on the single "I Pray," close to 400 appearances over the past couple of years, and a unity that keeps Eye Empire going strong, the focus shifts to crowd favorite "More Than Fate" as single number two. After three variations of a debut titled Moment Of Impact, Eye Empire packaged all of the band's recorded work on to a 2-CD set titled IMPACT, and released to physical stores June 19, 2012. Alongside 19 studio recordings, three acoustic performances and two live cuts rounded out the release. The album was released by Bulldog Productions, whom the band holds in high regard. 3 Pill Morning isn’t just another rock band and they’ll leave you with anything but a musical hangover. Forged in the hard rock proving grounds of Minneapolis, MN in late 2004, 3 Pill Morning could be described as trial by fire. Simply put, music was never a question for lead vocalist Jeff Stebbins and failure was never an option. It took the better part of 5 years, over 500 shows, and a hand full of member changes to finally click. Nothing would stop the evolution of 3 Pill Morning. Stebbins found a natural chemistry with guitarist Ryan Walch and as the pieces fell into place, the final line up came into focus with the addition of bassist Ryan Lee and drummer Trent Laugerman. The has shared the stage with Sevendust, Framing Hanley and Nonpoint. After a chance introduction in a city better known for honky-tonks and banjos than gut-wrenching riffs, the band found a creative match with Nashville based producer Jon King (Augustana, Throwing Gravity, Future Leaders of the World) . In 2012 the band signed a recording contract with King’s Page 2 Music and New York based A2Z Entertainment. 3 Pill Morning’s label debut 'Black Tie Love Affair' pegs all the dials and pulls no punches. The band’s lead single ‘Rain’ immediately raced into the top 100 Active Rock songs and their sleek video capturing the underdog story ‘Skin’ has lit up youtube viewers world wide.

Bios written in the third person are douchey (if I wrote this in the third person I wouldn’t be able to use made up words like “douchey”). Would it really matter if I grew up the daughter of a patent lawyer or an immigrant seamstress with limited English but limitless love? Would my star be rising if potential fans believed that I’d been keeping people “in stitches” since age five doing impressions of Merv Griffin at family get-togethers? If the answer is “yes,” then all of those things are 100% true and valid to the best of my recollection. Coming from a family of irrational lunatics, and having low self-esteem (but not low enough to strip)—I realized that I’d rather laugh than cry…and that lots of Catholic women marry closeted gay men (What? Where did that come from?). I think like a guy, I joke like a guy, and I look like an x-ray when my shirt’s off. My comedy does not aim to please or offend any particular group. It’s comedy for people who just “get it.” My inspiration comes from never fitting in, disdain for peoples’ robotic interests in life (religion, Two and a Half Men, buffets), and super-white white people. They’re the ones who laugh extra loud and nod their heads furiously at “African-American” comedians to show their solidarity and ability to relate (even though they can only understand every fifth word spoken). In addition to performing all over the East Coast, I’ve appeared on Sirius Satellite Radio, and I briefly co-hosted the radio show “What’s Your Problem” with veteran comedians Rev. Bob Levy and Eric McMahon. Other credits include a role in a national TV commercial for retailer AJ Wright. For more information, visit www.claudicomedy.com

At first when you see them or hear the name Panzie, you’re not quite sure what to expect, but expect the unexpected. Formed in 2009 and quickly becoming a vital part of the NYC hard rock music scene, PANZIE has been described by Metal Riot Magazine as "one of NYC's truest, trailblazing rock n’ roll groups." Tracks from PANZIE’s debut album, entitled ‘Love & Blood’ and heralded as "an impressive debut from an independent” by Piercing Metal Magazine, can be heard in the playlists of rock and metal club DJs around NYC and its surrounding areas. The band has played to packed audiences in such NYC hot spots as the Gramercy Theatre, Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge and Bowery Electric. PANZIE has been discovered by fans outside of the local New York scene, where music and interviews have been heard on independent and internet hard rock radio, and PANZIE has been appearing live in front of rabid audiences across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. PANZIE was the brainchild of long-time collaborators, singer Johnny Hawaiian, described as "the last real American rock star," and guitarists Jonnie Rockit and DC Gonzalez, all born-and-bred veterans of the NYC rock scene who had an immediate chemistry and a solid vision of the kind of music they wanted to create. With the addition of national-act cohorts, tour-seasoned drummer John “Servo” DeSalvo and guitarist-turned-bassist Dave Sussman, the band was complete. With plans to reach out to the southern states and the west coast in 2013, PANZIE has a dedication to their craft that is as infectious as their tight, dirty and riotous live shows. Richmond VA’s Faultine brings their brand of unapologetic rock without any frills or gimmicks, just confident vocals, actual melodic guitar playing and a steady backbeat. The band’s sophomore release, THE SECOND COMING, is a no-frills sustained slow-burn combination of new millennium rock delivered in explosive 4-minute bites with snarling lyrics and a high-energy, blazing audio presence and the band’s trademarks: catchy hooks, fast rhythms and aggressive lead guitar. The band began 2012 supporting Orgy’s “Bad Blood Tour,” a perfect fit. The band’s live show channels the loud and ballsy vibe of many of the artists they’ve been fortunate enough to support on tour – All That Remains, Halestorm, 12 Stones, Bobaflex, and Nonpoint, to name a few. Faultine shows off their musicality and diversity on THE SECOND COMING, from the deliberate and sustained howls of “Contention” to the mid-tempo anthem “The Beast” to the more sensitive “Blink” they have crafted a unique and cool rock sound that carries the record from start to finish. “Hindsight” is the lead single from THE SECOND COMING, and El Jay proclaims that he has “...waited far too long for a moment just like this.” Faultine is primed for a massive 2013, which could lead this proclamation to be a prophetic one.  For more information, visit www.faultlineofficial.com
