Described as a high energy comic, Chris Distefano acts out a variety of characters derived from his life, typically leaving you on the edge of your seat wondering “Who the hell is that he’s talking about?” Chris has worked at all of the top comedy clubs across New York City including but not limited to Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Carolines on Broadway, and the Laugh Lounge. Chris still lives in Brooklyn, NY with his Mom (punch line). Chris has a Bachelors degree in Psychology to impress his mom’s friends, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy to impress his Moms friend’s Moms. That kind of thinking got him on the SNY network as the host of the 2010 Fencing Masters at Hammerstein Ballroom. It also got him all the way to the Elite 8 of the 2011 March Madness Comedy Competiton at the world famous Carolines on Broadway. When he’s not making witty remarks (like the ones you’ve just read) or transforming into various personas on stage, you can find him stretching people’s hamstrings and getting yelled at to clean his room. Writer/Director Chuck Parello, a Chicago native and graduate of the city's Columbia College, had been running director John McNaughton's development company for over three years when he was hired to write a sequel to McNaughton's chilling cult classic Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer for a Chicago-based film company. The company was so impressed by Parello's tension-filled script for Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Part 2, which plunged the sociopathic main character into the dark world of arson for profit, that they also asked him to direct the piece. Shot during a frigid Chicago winter, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Part 2 earned kudos during its theatrical release from critics who said it was a genuinely creepy and entirely worthy follow-up to McNaughton's film. The production company Tartan Films was struck by Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Part 2 as well so they asked Parello to write and direct Ed Gein (2000). The delectably disquieting movie that ensued, winner of Best Picture and Best Actor at the Siges International Film Festival, chronicles the true-life exploits of an infamous momma's boy/killer (Ed Gein) from the 1950s whose grave robbing and other odd behaviors influenced such landmark films as Psycho, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and The Silence of the Lambs. Ed Gein (2000) was such a huge success around the world that Parello was next asked to write and direct The Hillside Strangler for Tartan Films. Based on the true 1977-79 case that paralyzed all of Los Angeles with fear, the film portrays two cousins who went on a sex-crazed killing spree together. Parello is next scheduled to direct another hard-boiled, fact-based script he wrote named "City Gas," which concerns a ruthless, gangster-obsessed businessman who hires a career criminal to commit a string of contract murder for him over one long, hot summer.

The Kinected is an original four piece hybrid, rock band whose songs are filled with melodic and rhythmical hooks, combining relatable pop-songwriting and unique grooves with a futuristic vibe. Alex Zapatier and Ron Anthony's vocal sound is smooth, strong, and highly energetic. Their rhythmical approach and lyrics are intelligent and sometimes sarcastic. Alex also delivers catchy, syncopated guitar rhythms and melodic lines thus embedding his own personal stamp to each song. His solos reflect emotional expression and influences of Jimmy Page, Slash, Hendrix and The Edge. Alex says, "Every song has a distinct color, mood, and identity. Our music must have a purpose, create a visual, evoke positive emotion, and hypnotize physically as well as mentally." Ron's atmospheric keyboards set the tone while his piano lines aim for the heart. His signature synthbass often mirrors the bass guitar, defining the groove and engraving it in your mind. Ron states, "I want to connect with people the way Stevie Wonder has with me. Our music should relate to each listener through a wide range of emotions." Mike B's bass lines are infectious and memorable. He states, "I want to hear our music played in the first club on Mars." Marck Mangel holds down and sets the tone with his drumming style and attitude. He adds, "Our thoughts and emotions are channeled through waves of sound that are designed to flow through the body with a pulse that makes you want to dance, grind and fist pump." Laura Madsen is a Jersey girl blogger, writer, and mother. She is the creator, founder, and writer of The Lady in Red Blog, which is not your typical blogging site. Most blogs focus on just one topic like food, fashion, or sports. Laura is not a niche blogger and approaches topics ranging from restaurant reviews, to art exhibitions, aspiring musicians, up-and-coming businesses, and even highlights some of her own views about mainstream issues in the media, or touches on personal attributes of her own life. There’s really nothing she won’t write about. She grew up in Toms River, NJ, was first published in Young Miss magazine at age 17 (which was the predecessor to Teen Vogue), and has written for various publications over the past twenty years. She is a Rutgers University graduate and currently also writes for Patch Media, which is under the umbrella of AOL. Laura’s favorite color is purple, she loves a glass of wine with dinner, and is into gardening and cooking. Laura is an amateur figure skater and a seasonal kayaker. Writing is her biggest passion, aside from being the best mom she can be. Over the past year she’s had many highlights in her writing career such as meeting Jon Bon Jovi at the Soul Kitchen and having the opportunity to write about it; interviewing Chef Nicholas Harary, the owner of the #1 Zagat Rated restaurant in New Jersey; and most recently she had her first blog on “Bloomberg’s Bubbly Beverage Ban” go national with Patch. When you hear the word Mother, the term signifies a strong, forceful, and commanding meaning, while bringing about a life giving, nurturing feeling. This group of four from the New York metropolitan area encompasses the above and much more. From the stage, Mother is in charge, much like in the household. The energy and confidence is what drives each performance of their heavy, groove-driven aural fix. Meanwhile, the songs will scoop you up by the hips and hold you in place searching for more once the last note settles. Formed in the spring of 2011, these newborns have grown fast enough to fulfill the duties of their moniker in a very short time. Vocalist Nick Fargo and Bassist Johnny Bass had a previous musical relationship in the New Jersey based Zodiac. The dissolution of this group sparked an introduction to guitarist Mike Gowen, fresh off the bus in NYC eager to find a match. While attempting the combination of a second guitar player, drummer Anthony Sciasci migrated north on the Turnpike with a passion for the heavy grooves that drive the machine they call Mother. Mother prides itself on its internal dissonance. Hence the name of their debut release, Dissonant Young. Their sound takes hints from monsters like Sabbath and Zeppelin, passing it through the compositions of Queen or Muse, and surrounding it with bottom heavy reminders of Pantera and Soundgarden. The record flows in a fashion that doesn’t let you turn away, much like the band’s live show. Staples such as “Digital Monster” and “As You Run” pack a fast and heavy punch; while “So Long” and “Out Alive” bring a serenade-like blues feel to the table.
