Dedication breeds the best results. Grammy Award-winning multiplatinum guitarist and singer Mark Tremonti continues to wholeheartedly commit himself to his craft, barely drawing a breath for air in between his eponymous band, Alter Bridge, and Creed. Following tours supporting his critically acclaimed 2012 solo debut, All I Was, and Alter Bridge’s chart-topping Fortress, he immediately began writing in his Orlando Studio at the top of 2014. Joined by longtime guitarist Eric “Erock” Friedman, drummer Garrett Whitlock, and bassist Wolfgang Van Halen—a studio first—Tremonti penned more than twenty-five songs over the course of multiple sessions. Emerging from the most prolific period of his two-decade career, Tremonti delivers successive albums—Cauterize and Dust—on his Fret12 Records with production by Michael "Elvis" Baskette [Alter Bridge/Slash}. Cauterize lead the charge in summer 2015 and Dust is following in April 2016, the one-two punch of modern thrash and melody that has become the group’s signature fuels this engine, but Tremonti tweaks it with a polyrhythmic jackhammer at just the right moments. The group sold out countless shows on its tours and has a full slate of dates lined up ahead—including appearances at major festivals such as Download Festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, and Hellfest. “I hope people can enjoy the music the way I do,” he leaves off. “As we were recording, there was this excitement amongst everyone. We go into every record questioning if we’ll be able to outdo the previous album. That’s my goal—to make a better record every time. If one fan thinks Dust is better than Cauterize and All I Was, we’ve done our job.” For more information, visit www.fret12.com/mark-tremonti

North Carolina-based rock band Decyfer Down has released three best-selling albums over the last decade that have gathered seven No. 1 radio hits, a Grammy and Dove Award nomination, and song placement on major sporting events and promotional videos that have garnered millions of views. Along with its own headline tours, the band has co-headlined with Korn’s Brian “Head” Welch and toured with Breaking Benjamin, Theory of a Dead Man, Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet, Red, Disciple, Puddle of Mudd and many others. On April 1st, the band released ‘The Other Side Of Darkness’ through The Fuel Music, which features the hit single ‘Nothing More.’ After more than a two-year hiatus from recording and touring, the band, collectively Brandon Mills and Chris Clonts (guitars), TJ Harris (vocals/guitar), Benjamin Millhouse (drums) and Chris Furr (bass), is reveling in its newfound freedom as an independent band to write, record, release and perform new music. Making a conscious decision to shatter comfort zones, whether they be artistically or thematically, the band held a no-holds-barred approach to ‘The Other Side Of Darkness.’ Taking the new music from ‘The Other Side Of Darkness,’ as well as its growing list of fan favorites, on the road, Decyfer Down is traveling heavily in 2016. Already 20 concerts into the massive, 39-date run on the City Rock Fest 2016 tour with Disciple, Seventh Day Slumber, Spoken and Children 18:3, this tour follows Decyfer Down’s own successful headline tour last fall, as well as 32 packed events on the 2015 winter/spring leg of the City Rock Fest tour. Breathing Theory is a hard rock band from Central Florida composed of heavy riffs, melodic leads, and gripping and thoughtful lyrics. Founded as a three piece in 2008 as "BurnTheSky," the band went through several members, growing into a five piece, and settled on the current name before recording their debut, "The Parasite EP" in 2011. With the release of their single "Fireflies" circulating on U.S. radio stations, XM satellite radio, and Music Choice, and touring across nearly the entire nation, BT slowly became more than just another local band. Prevailing through the test of time and tribulations, three of five members stepped down towards the end of 2013, but founding member and vocalist Cory Britt refused to be stopped, and recruited three new committed musicians to continue their quest to conquer stages across America. After writing and recording the Uprise sessions and embarking on four Eastern U.S. tours, the bands long awaited sophomore release and fresh new lineup lit a powerful fire under the quintet, and they have since dominated the Central FL scene with a fresh and passionate fury modern rock music so desperately needs, continually proving to audiences both at home and from afar that their sometimes commercial, but ALWAYS heavy hard rock sound will continue to appeal to the heart and soul of rock and metal fans alike. In the last year, they have met tons of new friends, both in the form of fellow bands and brand new fans, and left behind a wake of rock n roll fury accompanied by the smell of gasoline and burned, (sometimes exploded) rubber! They have shared the stage with national acts such as 12 Stones, Bobaflex, Flaw, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and 40 Below Summer, to name a few. For more information, visit www.breathingtheory.com

Holy White Hounds is an apt name for the quartet’s endearing but feral alt-rock. The moniker also conjures the band’s origins as small town underdogs who are rising to earn national prominence. When pressed on the significance of the handle, lead vocalist and guitarist Brenton Dean states: "We're dirty but we're not unclean. We're mangy, but you'd still let us sleep in your bed.” Now, the band announces its debut album, Sparkle Sparkle (Razor & Tie). “We are a band that comes from the basement who has worked real hard to gradually make our way up the staircase,” says Brenton. In addition to Brenton, on vocals/guitar, Holy White Hounds is comprised of Ambrose Lupercal (bass), James Manson (guitar), and Seth Luloff (drums). Their debut album, Sparkle Sparkle, coolly conjures The Strokes, Beck, Nirvana, Queens of The Stone Age and The Pixies, which features the hit single “Switchblade.” Holy White Hounds are currently building a robust profile on alternative and active rock radio stations nationally. In 2014, the quartet self-released their debut EP Oh Mama which garnered critical acclaim, attracting the attention of local rock powerhouse station KAZR/Des Moines. The station’s support, and respected standing as a barometer of quality new music, kicked off nationally an unofficial radio campaign for Holy White Hound’s current single “Switchblade.” The track also has the distinction of receiving backing from digital tastemaking outlets. "Switchblade" has also been featured on the Rock homepage of iTunes as a New Artist Spotlight, and Apple Music Rock has added the band to their "Ones To Watch" playlist. They have shared the stage with artists such as Cage the Elephant, Sick Puppies, Cake, Wavves, Surfer Blood, and Rob Zombie. For more information, visit www.holywhitehounds.com

Christopher The Conquered wants you to read between the lines. That said, he’s got a damn good reason for naming his full-length debut album, I’m Giving Up On Rock & Roll [Maximum Ames Records]. “I’m not referring to music,” he explains. “It’s the idea of Rock & Roll as a metaphor for misrepresenting yourself. Living behind a mask or a façade is not a healthy way to live. That’s what I’m giving up on. People love Rock & Roll, and I love Rock & Roll. However, the person I am onstage is also the person I am offstage.” It’s this sort of pure honesty that defines the album’s nine tracks, and it’s also why Christopher made some serious waves in 2015. The Iowa singer, songwriter, and performer has crafted a declaratory musical statement that’s impossible to ignore. In the summer of 2015, he shared the stage with Natalie Prass and handed her an early copy of I’m Giving Up On Rock & Roll. She in turn passed it on to Ryan Adams who took to Twitter and Instagram calling the album, “Crazy and incredible.” Soon after, Christopher landed on the front page of Reddit and in Billboard as the title track and single “I’m Giving Up On Rock & Roll” quickly passed 60,000 plays on Soundcloud. This properly set the stage for the album’s 2016 release. “This album isn’t for me,” he leaves off. “The art happens when you’re alone at the piano. I got my satisfaction from that part of the process. Now, I’ve created something for the world. I want people to reflect on their lives and what they’re doing when they listen to this and feel happy. There’s no reason to live under any pretense or obligations other than your own passion and love. The album is about that.” For more information, visit www.christophertheconquered.com

Devour The Day offer a rather intriguing and completely appropriate metaphor for their second full-length album, S.O.A.R. [Razor & Tie]. “It’s like the difference between a superhero’s first and second movie,” smiles Joey Chicago [Bass, Vocals, Songwriter]. “In the first movie, the hero is still getting used to his powers—fumbling around and slowly understanding his place. By the beginning of the second film, he becomes what he’s meant to be. On S.O.A.R., we have become Devour The Day. We have a very firm grasp on who we are and the music we want to make. Even though we’ve been playing together for so long, it feels like the very beginning of our career.” It’s true the world has only just begun to witness the power of Joey and his other half in Devour The Day, Blake Allison [Lead Vocals, Guitar, Songwriter, Producer]. However, they got a pretty good glimpse at the group’s potential in the form of 2014’s Time & Pressure. The record would sell 20,000 plus copies and land multiple hits in the Top 25 at Active Rock. Most notably, the instantly recognizable “Good Man” went Top 10 at the format and moved over 100,000 singles to date. Simultaneously, the band shared bills with everyone from Sevendust and Three Days Grace to In This Moment and HELLYEAH. Blake and Joey’s musical relationship dates back to almost fifteen years, since their lead songwriting roles in Egypt Central. With the name change and addition of David Hoffman [guitar] and Ronnie Farris [drums], S.O.A.R. does feel like a new beginning, and these guys are ready to save rock music. “Devour The Day is Carpe Diem with teeth,” concludes Joey. “It’s an aggressive approach to making the best of your life. This is for everyone who does that.” For more information, visit www.devourtheday.com
